Seven Year Resident

"The purpose of this letter is to express to you and your entire staff our deep-felt gratitude for the love, care, and compassion you gave to our Aunt for the past seven years. If Alice could, we are convinced she would have nothing but high praise for you and everyone whom she came in contact with at your facility.

She was very comfortable and content living in room #49. She enjoyed the view from her room and the many activities she participated in.

We are saddened at having to move Alice to a nursing home, and had hoped that she would spend the rest of her life with all of you. When we moved Alice in seven years ago, she was malnourished and severely depressed. She and two other women lived there for almost three months before more residents arrived. We fell that she improved as the facility grew in numbers.

We are saddened that Alice's continuing loss of recent memory deprives her of the wonderful years she spent with all of you. We wish that she could tell us of the many positive experiences she had as a resident, and that she could tell you herself that she is grateful for all you have done.

We are indeed very grateful for all the services you provided to Alice. All of you are a dedicated and caring group of people, and we will miss our visits with you.

We will keep you posted on Alice's health and condition at [nursing home]. We know some of your staff will visit Alice there an we are grateful for that. In the meantime, god bless all of you, keep up the good work that you do. We know that Alice was in the best of hands during her years there."

Our Independent Mom

"We wish to express our thanks and gratitude to the staff for the excellent care our mother received while residing there for the past three years. As family members, we felt comfortable calling anytime to inquire as to the status of her wants, needs or condition, or to ask for special care in a certain instance. Our mother consistently tried to maintain her independence which made it difficult for her, at times, to rely on others to assist with simple tasks. As her daughters, we can attest to the fact that on occasion she could be impatient and demanding; but despite her demeanor, each staff member continually treated her in a courteous manner. I am sure that the position of caretaker is not always easy or appreciated, so therefore we are grateful for the fact that each of you always treated mother with dignity and respect. Than you for being there for her."

I want to personally thank you for all the wonderful care you gave our mom. We realize that mom was far above the amount of care that should be expected at any CBRF. You all worked so hard to keep her comfortable and treated her so sweetly and gently. Most of all, you made it so that she could stay at "home" with the people she knew best and the friends that she had made there. Thank you for all that you do and for all the lives you touch.
